Ernest has heard God’s call echoing in his heart and soul for years and has answered resoundingly with his first CD recording, "My Calling." Released late April 2002, the CD is a blend of contemporary and spiritual classics. One song written by Silver aptly titled, "There’s A Calling", explains in lyrical detail why he feels he must fulfill his destiny. "Every song on this recording is a reflection of my heart, desiring to beat rhythmically with the heart of God. This calling-my mission-burns within my very being, beckoning me to share the good news of the gospel with total abandonment."

Ernest Silver Music, Inc. was established in 2002 as part of Silver’s desire to broaden his ministry work. He has toured internationally as a member of his college choir at North Carolina Central University in Durham, and has done numerous concerts throughout the U.S.

"I began singing at the age of 5 as a soloist in my mother’s senior choir at Plumbline Holy Church in Enfield, North Carolina. My father played guitar in church, so I grew up being surrounded by the strands of holy, Christian music. It is as much a part of my life as my very being."

Living and working in Greenville, North Carolina for the past seven years has allowed Silver the opportunity to expand his music, serving as one of the worship leaders at Covenant United Methodist Church. "My debut CD tells a chronological story of my walk in a Christian life. It is a reflection of who I am in my relationship with Jesus Christ."

"My wife Charlene, and my children Ryan, Sean and Carlee (and as of Dec. 5, our new daughter, Abby Victoria) have supported my calling to the utmost. They strengthen me with their love and encouragement."

Silver is currently in concert throughout various cities in the southeastern region United States. His bookings are free of charge, although a love offering will be accepted.
